The Wel_hops project is announcing the older persons housing schemes that it considers as being amongst the very best in Europe.
The Wel_hops project has examined more than 40 older persons housing schemes across a range of EU member states. The experiences have been surveyed to determine those which do most to promote independence and a high quality of life amongst their residents.
Only 12 experiences in Europe are to receive the prestigious award. To reflect the different economic and social circumstances across Europe, the award is being presented to those schemes in partner countries that are representative of the pinnacle of local achievement.
