From today, Wednesday 13 December 2006, fortnightly news will be available on the web site www.welhops.net about the world of elderly people (both from European and non-European countries) and in particular about housing and senior citizens.

  As of today, Wednesday 13 December 2006, the web site www.welhops.net provides periodical news useful for anyone interested in the theme of the independent life of elderly people, planners, developers, public administrators, senior citizens and their families, social workers, researchers and academics, and also information regarding events, research, innovative solutions and experimental workshops.

The site not only gathers and publishes news summaries taken from web sites of the partner countries in the Wel_hops project - Housing Welfare Policies for Senior Citizens - Sweden, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and Hungary, but also from other countries which are particularly advanced in this field.  Countries such as the United States, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany and China. Anyone interested in investigating a particular theme further can take advantage of specific links where they can continue their reading.

News will be updated every fortnight. Due to the Christmas festivities the next publications will be on Thursday 21 December 2006 and then on Monday 15 January 2007
